Quick Answers

Commonly asked questions.

The questions that come up in nearly every conversation, answered plainly — including the ones where the honest answer is inconvenient.

Do I pay anything for your help?

No. As licensed advisors we are compensated by the carriers when you enroll, and that compensation is built into the premium whether or not you use an advisor. Buying direct does not lower your price. The consultation, plan comparisons, paperwork and ongoing support are free to you.

What are private plans not available online?

Health insurance products offered directly by carriers outside HealthCare.gov and the state marketplaces. They often have different pricing, networks and benefit structures than ACA Marketplace plans. Many households do not qualify for subsidies and end up overpaying on the Marketplace when a private plan would have been cheaper.

How is this different from going direct to the carrier?

Going direct shows you one carrier's plans. We work with multiple major U.S. carriers and compare across them, so you see what fits your household, business or income rather than what one company has to sell.

What states do you serve?

We are licensed in 31+ states. We are based in Florida and work with clients nationwide. Ask and we will confirm whether we are licensed where you live.

What if I already have coverage?

We will review it at no cost and only recommend a change if it would genuinely improve your coverage or your cost. Often the answer is that you are in the right place, and here is why.

Is the ACA subsidy cliff really back?

Yes. The enhanced premium tax credits that ran from 2021 through 2025 expired on January 1, 2026 and Congress has not restored them. For 2027 coverage, a household earning more than 400% of the federal poverty level receives no premium tax credit at all — for a family of four that line sits at $132,000. One dollar over and the entire credit disappears.

When can I enroll?

Open enrollment for 2027 coverage runs November 1, 2026 through January 15, 2027 on HealthCare.gov, with December 15 the deadline for coverage starting January 1. Outside that window you need a qualifying life event — losing job-based coverage, moving, marriage, birth or adoption.

Can I keep my doctor?

Sometimes, and it is worth checking before you enroll rather than after. Networks vary by plan and by county, and a carrier's national reputation tells you little about which physicians are in-network where you actually live. We verify your doctors and prescriptions against the specific plan before you sign.

Is a cheaper Bronze plan the smart choice?

Frequently not. If your income is under 250% of the federal poverty level you qualify for cost-sharing reductions, which lower the deductible and out-of-pocket maximum substantially — but only on Silver plans. Sorting by premium alone hides this, and it is the most commonly missed benefit in the Marketplace.

Are health share plans the same as insurance?

No. Health care sharing ministries are not insurance, are not regulated as insurance, and have no legal obligation to pay your claims. They commonly exclude pre-existing conditions and can end membership after a large claim. They are cheap for a reason.

Can I change plans mid-year?

Only with a qualifying life event. Losing other coverage, moving to a new area, marriage, divorce, birth, adoption or certain income changes open a special enrollment period, usually 60 days. Simply disliking your plan does not.

Will submitting a form get me spam calls?

Not from us. Your information goes to this agency and is never sold. Many comparison sites resell each submission to several agents, which is why one form can fill your phone for a week.

Still deciding where to start?

If your question is about cost, the subsidy calculator will tell you within a minute whether you qualify for a premium tax credit and roughly what your share would be. If it is about which market fits you, the coverage overview lays out the four options side by side.

And if it is about your specific doctors, prescriptions or a deadline you are up against, that is a conversation rather than a web page — call or text (954) 667-5532.
